It's important that, as a culture, we reclaim the practice of rites of passage. There's a notion that rites of passage are just for "primitive" people, far away and a long time ago. But the archetypal bones of rites of passage can take the shape of the world we live in.

One of the services I offer is creating and enacting custom rites of passage. Each one is a unique creative process, tailored to the individual or group involved. I strive to involve your friends and family, so the rite of passage serves the whole community.

A rite of passage is appropriate to any major transition in life, planned or unplanned. Coming of age, starting a business, marriage, divorce, career change, illness, injury, death -- each of these passages in life deserves a rite of passage. A rite of passage can be a celebration or a mourning, an affirmation or an ordeal -- or maybe all of the above.
