Biography
A short biography of Harry LeBlanc

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I have always been a creative person -- one of my earliest pictures has me reaching up from my walker to the piano. My father was a musician, and I absorbed music from an early age.
I moved to Minneapolis in 1980, to pursue a career as a science fiction writer -- or, alternatively, a professional musician. In the late eighties, I turned to computers as a source of income, but continued to pursue my artistic careers.
After a long and meandering road, I finally earned my bachelor's degree in creative writing from Vermont College.
I achieved modest success in both music and science fiction, recording and performing a wide variety of original music and publishing numerous stories. And my computer consulting practice was thriving. But somehow I was dissatisfied. After searching for I didn't know what for several years, I ended up taking the New Warrior Training Adventure. This rite of passage experience for men was profoundly transformative for me. I realized that I wanted to use my creativity to help others and make a difference in the world. So I moved to California to attend the California Institute of Integral Studies. I earned my master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy. I recently returned home to Minneapolis, to set up my private practice as an expressive arts therapist. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC # 00781). I am now pursuing my Ph.D. in Expressive Arts Therapy at the European Graduate School.
