Welcome to Arts of Passage, the arts-based private therapy practice of Harry LeBlanc, where therapy is more than just talk. At Arts of Passage, I integrate all the arts -- music, drama, poetry, dance, sculpture, mask-making, puppets, sandplay and more -- into the therapeutic process. I elicit in individuals, families, groups and communities our innate gift for healing and growth through creativity, ritual, courage and love.
Of course, I'm fully qualified to do traditional talk therapy (LPCC #cc00537), but I specialize in Expressive Arts Therapy and Drama Therapy. I integrate ritual and the arts with psychotherapy in a creative improvisational approach.
I am approved by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy for licensure supervision for LPC and LPCC interns.
I am also a priest in the Society of Franciscan Workers, which is part of the Old Catholic tradition. I embrace progressive values, such as gay marriage, ordination of women, liberation theology and restorative justice. I embrace many paths to connecting with the divine, having practiced Buddhist meditation for many years. I offer spiritual direction and guidance, and will meet you where you are on your spiritual path.
Arts of Passage is for everyone. There is no artistic skill required. I focus on the creative process and create a safe, non-judgmental space for your innate creativity and capacity for healing to emerge. Regardless of previous experience or talent -- no matter what anyone has ever told you -- you are already creative, just as you are now.
I also offer training in expressive arts therapy, collaborate with artists and educators on healing community arts projects, and design and enact urban rites of passage
